I'm starting a refurb of a large Mac rollcab soon and I wonder if anyones used a supplier of the chrome/black or just chrome drawer trim. Looked on ebay and the trim there for car doors, etc, looks a bit cack.
Also what do people use as drawer liners? I have heard of camping mats, but I really want black.
If not, I will have to chase down the local Mac van!
Thanks!

Look up non-slip matting, its pretty good, also cheap foam yoga mats from the pound shop can be got cheaply and cut up for drawer liners.

I thought you'd used the dogs bed the way they're standing there

Have you done a risk assessment prior to the issue of finger paints and assessed the need for PPE? lol

Thank for the replies. I take it the cheaper liners people mention are the waffle type nonslip stuff?
As the box is a bit of a state, I am thinking of getting it blasted and powdercoated, but as its a 41" wide, 13 drawer roll cab, I will probably paint it 'cause of the cost! Do you think blasting this will warp/ripple it too much?

I think I've read that using crushed walnut shells is good for 'gentle' cleaning of stuff

i ordered drawer liner for a roller cabinet i have here just yesterday, i didnt get it yet as they are cutting them to size for me but i went for 1.5mm neoprene rubber, its oil resistant which is important as if its not then it ill swell eventually and its impact resistant to do the job it needs to do in this case.
iirc the sheets are 1035x648 and they cost me about €10+v each. it was about the cheapest option i could come up with that did what it said on the box.
as for the box, sand blasting i dont think ill do it any harm, but i dont know if id powder coat it, its not a tough coating if it gets a smack.
id prime it good and two pack it for imo it id be a far better job if you want to do it right.
